-I think you're asking this question:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>Do you mean "Can I still get a refund of VAT when I export goods I bought in UK even though I used a UK debit card to pay for the goods?"
You typically need to prove to Customs that you are exporting the goods, by taking them to the Customs desk at the airport when you are leaving. You will need to shoe your travel documents. Customs will then stamp the paperwork given to you by the retailer on behalf of the firm operating the VAT refubd scheme, you then have to post them back to the refund scheme, and the firm operating the refund scheme will arraneg to send the refund. Customs do not know anything at all about how you paid for the goods in the first place.
purchasing something with a debit card has nothing to do with getting a tax refund
you only get a tax refund from the inland revenue if you have paid more tax than you should have on your income.
That makes no sense - what tax refund? HMRC never charges for you to get a rebate of tax.
Re-write that in English.
