Are airports Federal Property?

-More specifically, is John F. Kennedy Airport in Queens New York, Federally owned? No. Aircraft carriers and Air Force bases are federal property. Civilian airports are not.

John F. Kennedy Airport in Queens, New York; LaGuardia Airport in Queens, New York; and Newark-Liberty Airport in Elizabeth, New Jersey; the Lincoln Tunnel; the Holland Tunnel; and the George Washington Bridge are all property of the "Port Authority of New York and New Jersey", which is owned by the State of New York and the State of New Jersey, not by the federal government.I don't know of any US airport that is federal property. JFK, Laguardia, and Newark airports are all owned by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey which owns the bridges and tunnels between the two states and is a joint venture between the two states.

Most airports are owned by cities or local agencies. Philadelphia International is owned by the City of Philadelphia. Logan in Boston is owned by Massachusetts Port Authority. BWI is owned by Maryland Aviation Administration.
no, usually each city has an agency sometimes called the port agency that operates the air ports, and docks

the air traffic controllers are gov't employees
