Are permanent residents, who are not citizens, taxed income tax by the US?

-Under US tax law, citizens who are not residents of the US can be taxed. What about residents who are not citizens? If you are a Green Card Holder and are eligible to work legally in the US - you have to pay federal and/or state, and/or city income tax (whatever is applied to your state of residence).Yes, they are both taxed exactly the same.

Actually, even illegals are subject to US taxation, and once they are here long enough (about 6 months) they are also taxed exactly the same as citizens and lawful permanent residents.
Legal residents are treated the same as citizens.
